"TAMAN" Pande Ketut Taman solo exhibition at Komaneka Fine Art Gallery, Indonesia

25 September - 25 October 2009

Following his last solo exhibition in Jakarta, in 2004, Pande Ketut Taman returns to display his newest works at Komaneka Fine Art Gallery, Ubud, Bali. His current exhibition marks a further milestone for Taman and his understanding of "clear water philosophy", where the color spectrum is the amalgamation of the various colors merging as one; a sum of all flavors coming together, producing the most complete of all tastes, clarity.

From Basel to Hong Kong - the new arrival to Sin Sin Atelier
Batman and Robin lamps, design by ZMIK

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Batman and Robin lamps to Sin Sin Atelier.

Batman and Robin lamps by ZMIK's are Sin Sin's new discovery she would like to share with you.

ZMIK (www.zmik.ch) develops concepts, design strategies and the implementation thereof in the context of space and communication. Their work is focused on the design of identity and individuality as well as the translation of abstract contents into three-dimensional messages of which Batman & Robin lamps are a great example. ZMIK explores opportunities at the fringes of various disciplines with the intention to generate precise and individual solutions for complex issues.

Thanks to its unique characteristics a lamp manages to transform just a space into a unique surrounding. Let us quickly introduce you to Batman and its inseparable friend Robin.

Batman is a pendant luminaire. Its shade is folded out of a single piece of alu composite using the core of the sandwich material as a hinge. The well reflecting surface of the alu coating provides a balanced and atmospheric light. The edges of the shade glow due to the translucent core material. Batman emits a wide light cone.

Robin is also a pendant luminaire. Its shade is folded out of a single piece of alu composite using the core of the sandwich material as a hinge. The well reflecting surface of the alu coating provides a balanced and atmospheric light. The edges of the shade glow due to the translucent core material.
Robin as opposed to Batman emits a narrow light cone.

Batman & Robin is an ongoing installation. Fans of this design will be happy to know that the lamps are also available for sale.

Date: ongoing
