The summer is finally here again to bask us all in its sunshine against the long awaited blue sky. It is now time for The Sin Sin Show to move forward, giving space to our next programme. Meanwhile, we had the honor to sponsor Asia Animal Foundation’s fundraising event “A Celebration of Animals & Natures – Through Erika Chen’s Artworks” on May 15th. It was a big hearty success to have so many of you joining us for the good cause.
In the quiet moments towards the summer, Sin Sin Fine Art has been incubating fresh ideas. Soon, we will be ready for a rejuvenating transformation - bringing out new, inspiring approach to experience art in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. |

A Celebration of Animals & Natures - Charity Fundraising for Animal Asia Through Erika Chen’s artworks

It seems like the very first time there were so many little friends joining us here at Sin Sin Fine Art. Through the talented 10-year-old Erika Chen's paintings about the lovely nature and animals, they learned how to appreciate our dear animal friends and to care for the Mother Earth. It was a meaningful afternoon with a lot of fun.

In celebration of United Overseas Bank's 80th anniversary and Hong Kong branch's 50th anniversary, UOBHK is establishing an Art Academy whereby one of the key events is the inaugural UOB Installation Art Award 2015. The UOB Art Academy will embrace the core focus areas of our three corporate services responsibility: arts, children and education.
As the first community art talk of the fruitful series of activities, “Inspiration on Children's Art” was held at Sin Sin Fine Art on 18th May 2015. Ms Sin Sin Man, the renowned Lifestyle Artist and Founder of Sin Sin was invited as panelist together with Ms Joanna Hotung, Founder of KG Group and Ms Rowena Cheung, Chairlady of HK Society For Education in Art.
They generously shared their experience on how inspiring the children originally are and the important role of art education to encourage them to be creative, brave and different as they are.

START Art Fair

START, presented by Prudential, will hold its 2nd edition of the art fair from 10th to 13th September 2015 at Saatchi Gallery, London (with a Preview Day on Wednesday 9th September). The fair offers a platform for emerging artists and art scenes, presented in a museum-quality setting.
SIN SIN fine art will be participating at the START art fair in London with SAATCHI showing selected artworks by Ms Sin Sin Man, and Indonesian artists S. Teddy Darmawan, M. Irfan, Nasirun and Hanafi. See you soon in London!

The Terracotta Biennale is an art for the environment, the art to love each other live, The Art for the faithful at the root of the local cultures, The Art for beauty of the future of human life in the world, the art in honor of Mother Earth.
In 1825 Mbah Song – the Knights in Diponegoro War became potters together with farmers. They used jugs, jars, barrels and mortars as a form of resistance against the Dutch-VOC, because the rice was taxed. The Potters were paramilitary guard of Diponegoro’s cave – Goa Selarong, Bedog riverside dwellers, they were selling pottery to observe the movement of VOC troop.
The show opened by Dr. Oei Hong Djin, a respected Indonesian collector who started his private collection in 1970s. With a collection of over 2000 artworks ranging from paintings, sculptures, installations and new media, Dr. Oei hong Dijin aims to aspire the young generations to appreciate, enjoy and preserve Indonesian art.

A solo exhibition by Bob Yudhita Agung (well known as Bob Sick), who is strongly influenced by Jean-Michel Basquiat and pop culture, including music and tattoo art. The primitive-naive charms Bob’s works, expressing a sense of social awareness.
For this exhibition, Bob Sick has also moved his studio and works to Artroom for 14 days. |

Mänttä Art Festival was first arranged in 1993. A biennial event during the early years, the festival has been arranged annually since 1999. Through the decades, Mänttä Art Festival has brought the inspiring artworks all over the world to Finland.
The topic of the 20th Festival is about Culture Transition – Which occurs whenever people meet, especially when crossing borders. The curators wish to present the versatility that is already among us without creating new categories.
Indonesian Artist Dwi Setianto is invited as one of the artists. In the photo is he standing besides his work which is 150 x 1000 cm. Go check it out if you are nearby!

Körperlandschaft

In 2003 Roland Hagenberg and Sheila Metzner embarked on a trip to the southwest of the USA in order to document a BMW Magazine art installation featuring work by Robert Smithson, Michael Heizer, Walter de Maria und James Turrell. An intimate friendship developed out of the collaboration and a mutual appreciation for the natural environment of Arizona and New Mexico and has now been visualized through the exhibition “Körperlandschaft“, made possible by ponyhof artclub contemporary art. The focus of their collaboration is the sculptural form of landscapes comprised of physical bodies rather than dunes and Canyons.

37th Bali Art Festival (Pesta Kesenian Bali)

The 37th annual Bali Art Festival takes on the theme "Jagadhita: Strengthening Public Welfare". It is the perfect moment to witness many kinds of traditional and contemporary art performances and cultures from all over Bali and some other islands in Indonesia. The festival always takes place during the long school holiday in Indonesia. The opening always drawn a lot of attention from all the locals, as well as from international travellers and medias. A lavish parade of each performer will be lined up in front of Bajra Sandhi Monument in Denpasar, while most of the performances and exhibitions will be held daily at Denpasar Art Centre with the magnificent Balinese Architecture amphitheater as the centre stages.
