Dear friends,
Early Happy Easter! Here in Bali we celebrate the triumphal Easter with plenty of culture integrating activities. Such as our famous egg painting skills which are passed from one generation to the next, an unique artistic tradition belonged to Ubud, the home to verdant rice paddies. We encourage you to challenge yourself to paint on eggs instead of canvas while sipping a cup of Balinese coffee for a festive enriched artistic experience, which can also be done as a relaxing afternoon activities with friends.

Kokok P.Sancoko Solo Show
23-30 March 2014
Artist talk: 23 Marchch 4:00 pm
Venue: Emitan C.A Gallery,
Jalan Walikota Mustajab 67
Surabaya, Indonesia
Curator: Rizki A. Zaelani
Kokok has transformed the subject matter he has worked on previously (of natural objects; petals and fruits) into a depiction of events, scenes, or situations ―the main figures are even strongly portrayed in several paintings.
In Rizki’s opinion, P. Sancoko’s paintings are not making themselves occupied with organizing and providing roles that he describes ―displayed to us for seeing his works― but kinds of ideas of actions to declare and hide as well. P. Sancoko is recalling a silent state in the flow of crowded, continual, and endless human mind. His painting expression therefore, seems to celebrate the human memory on [his] life and demonstrate (by hiding it) the boundaries that make it valuable.
