We have opened an exhibition of Emerging British Artist Jack Penny at Sin Sin Fine Art on 25 January. The playful curatorial choice to present aesthetically disparate practices creates disquiet across the exhibition, engaging with contemporary art practice that utilises unique visual language. As a body of work, together they embody the concerns of artists today, united within two- dimensional medium’s relationship to the nature and the lust.

Single Fighter #2
Artist: Pameran Lukisan
Duration: 10 - 24 February 2018
Venue: Sangkring Art Project, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Single Fighter # 2 contains the theme of human condition in the struggle with life in the modern era and also presents the theme “Spatial”, both physical and mental.
Katirin attempted to combine the meanings of the physical spaces he once lived to relate them to memory, ideas, dreams and reflections of the life experiences he had lived.
The Making of art is no longer a mere destination, but a representation of the journey of body and soul in the search of the utopian locus, across the periphery, urban spaces - beaches, rivers, forests and mountains. Katirin’s art has proven itself well against the test of time, an affirmation of a preserving and courageous life force.
