On 16 Feburary, we have opened the Visual Tour of "Reminders" with the pleasure of the renowned Harpist Joan Lee's live performance. It was such a hearty gathering with new and old friends to celebrate Sin Sin Fine Art's commitment to the arts through collabrating with over 40 artists across the globe since 2003. Thank you for joining us for the night.
Now we are getting ready for the Hong Kong Art Week - An explosion of creativity and excitement is washing over the urban jungle, with the return of the much anticipated Art Central. See you there.

Wensen Qi studied at Ecole des Metiers d’Art in Revel with an expertise in wood cabinet making, marquetry and gilding. Lacquer painting, one of the most ancient arts in China, acted like a strong magnet to him. Vincent committed himself to live in China and with his own language deciphering the work of lacquer, learning and drawing lessons from traditional Chinese lacquer paintings.

“POEMS” Book Launch

Roland Hagenberg is a writer, photographer and filmmaker who grew up in Vienna, Austria. Roland’s new book “Poems” will be published on March 22. It features 58 poems in English and German with illustrations by the author. International opera soprano Ildiko Raimondi just recorded one of the poems.

Nyepi Saka 1939 (Balinese Lunar New Year)

March seems like the busiest month for Balinese on 2017. Starting from 11th March 2017 with Tumpek Uduh, one of the important Saturdays to respect the existence of plants, which largely required for offerings. Follow with Ulun Danu Beratan (Lakeside temple) anniversary on the 21st March 2017 at the same day is also the mother temple “Besakih” anniversary.
25th March 2017 will be The Melasti processions happens three days prior to the Saka New Year, when pilgrims take heirlooms in long walks from temples towards the coastlines where purification rites take place.
27th March 2017 will be the fiesta before the silent day, parade of giant sculpture carry to the streets represent of peace offerings to the lower spirit not to disturb human being during their fasting on the silent day.
28th March 2017 is the silent and seclusion day, the day of introspection and let the mother earth resting for 24 hours from all the hustles, no traffic, no light/ fire, no entertainment and no activities, for some mature peoples they also do the fasting either for 12 hours or 24 hours straight.
The celebration ends on 29th March remarking the start of New Year.

Tian Zhen Yuan (天真園) Tai Chi Experience Retreat

SIN SIN is blessed to host a Tai Chi Experience Retreat in both Villa Sin Sin and Sin Sin Atelier orgnised by Tian Zhen Yuan (Tianjin, China) in February.
It was a chance to escape the busy city life and experience cultural learning in the scenic nature. Relax, rejuvenate and revitalize. Cultivate the mind, body, and spirit through interesting courses focused on “literature, martial arts, medical science, agriculture and fun.”
Tian Zhen Yuan is an institution dedicated to the manifestation, propagation and education of traditional Chinese culture rooted in Tai Chi philosophy. It was founded by Xing Qili (4th generation of Lishi Taichi) and Cui Ailing since 2006.
