S. Teddy Darmawan - Memorial Exhibition

Exhibition Duration: 7 July - 18 July 2016

Venue: Sin Sin Fine Art, 52 & 54 Sai Street, Central, Hong Kong

Sin Sin Fine Art will present a memorial exhibition for Sosok Teddy Darmawan (1970 – 2016), honouring both a friendship and his incredible work.

As one of the leading contemporary Indonesian artists, he was known for his energetic, self-expressive works that often used humour to provoke a greater dialogue surrounding the deep-rooted social and historical issues of Indonesia.

On the loss of our dear friend, we remember, as Teddy once said, "‘Art saves my life." Creating art made him stronger and motivated him to live and enjoy life to the fullest. His honesty, directness and spontaneity has always inspired us. Our founder, Sin Sin Man, treasured him as "an authentic artist – without an ego, full of madness, with a huge heart, always giving and sharing. He is a true gentlemen.”

In memory of S. Teddy Darmawan, we are inviting everyone to get together with us and celebrate Teddy's spirit and beauty.
