Sin Sin Fine Art is pleased to present SURVIVORS, an exhibition featuring new works by Hong Kong artist Sin Sin Man and Indonesian artists Bob Yudhita Agung and S. Teddy Darmawan. These artists of different backgrounds are unified by their affinity to a free and spontaneous mode of expression, and by how each of them, in their different paths, have survived a major challenge in their lives.

Recently, the three of them have spent a very intense time working together in Bali. They got to know each other even better, and their dynamics fueling each other’s creative sparks, resulting in the powerful artworks shown in this exhibition.

Survivors will serve as the first public event to be held in the new Studio in Wong Chuk Hang. We are extremely excited to embark upon a new chapter with you all.

LOUIS CANE - Window of The Light

Artwork Tile: De l'air coloré

Resin paint on wire gauze

45.5×53.5 cm

2006

Exhibition Duration: 26 November – 31 December 2015

Venue:  Sin Sin Fine Art, 52 Sai Street, Central

Louis CANE, who has been a leading figure in French contemporary art since joining the artistic movement “Support/Surface” movement in France in the late 1960s. This is the first solo exhibition introducing his recent works in Hong Kong at Sin Sin Fine Art, entitled “Window of The Light”.

Coloring is one inevitable and essential element of Louis Cane’s works. By airing and stretching, he manipulates the color’s outlines and expressions as much as possible so as to approach the ‘irrationality’ created by the delight of colors. He says to have found “the way to discover colors hidden in the air” and his latest works are more color-conscious with discreet supports such as aluminum and fiberglass
