The Second Life

There is this idea of having two lives in one human body in Tibetan tradition. This is a transformation we all have the choice to go through. By cultivating awareness and self-knowledge, we can undo our internal karmic bondages and become a new person who has more love and wisdom. Such inner change can be so profound that we can become a totally new person by leaving many of our old habits behind.  The talk with end with Tsok, a Tantric Buddhist feast ceremony and Newar Vajra dance offered by LiAnne Takeuchi Hunt.

Anam Thubten grew up in Tibet and at an early age began to practice in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He is the founder and spiritual advisor of Dharmata Foundation, teaching widely in the U.S. and occasionally abroad. He is also the author of The Magic of Awareness and No Self, No Problem. Through the essential wisdom of Buddhism and his personal experience on the spiritual path, Anam Thubten brings alive the timeless teachings and invites everyone to participate.

Pagerwesi & Tumpek Landep Festivals

Date: 2 December 2015 &12 December 2015

Venue: Bali, Indonesia

Bali is always an interesting destination to visit for various festivals along with rich cultures. Tips for the visitors in December: there will be 2 important festivals happening - Pagerwesi Festival on 2 December 2015  and Tumpek Landep Festival on 12 December 2015.

Pagerwesi means anything of high intelligence, or the soul and spirituality in this sense, should be protected from destructive influences. Tumpek Landep is a holy day that is dedicated to the blessings of metal items, from heirloom keris daggers to various other metal objects such as modern machinery, automobiles and so on; all for their better use in daily life.
